Bye Bye Birdie captures the energy and excitement of the late 1950s with warmth, hilarity and an exuberant score. A small-town America, teenagers, and rock & roll, Bye Bye Birdie remains as fresh and vibrant as ever. Teen heartthrob Conrad Birdie has been drafted, so he chooses all-American girl Kim McAfee for a very public farewell kiss. Featuring a tuneful high-energy score, plenty of great parts for kids, and a hilarious script, Bye Bye Birdie remains one of the most popular shows in schools across the country. Hit songs include “Put on a Happy Face,” “One Last Kiss,” “One Boy,” “A Lot of Livin’ to Do,” “Kids!” and “Rosie.”

Audition Sign Ups: Monday, November 16th at 8am.

Audition Workshop: Monday, November 30th 2:30-4:00- Registration opens on November 16th at 8am. 

Auditions: Thursday, December 10th & Friday December 11th

Callback List Posted: Friday, December 11th by 9pm

Invited Callbacks: Monday, December 14th 2:30-6:00 & Wednesday, December 16th 3:30-6:00

Mandatory Dance Audition: Wednesday, December 16th 1:30-3:30.

Cast List Posted: Friday, December 18th by 8pm

First Rehearsal: Wednesday, January 13th 1:30-4:00

Deadline for Financial Assistance Requests: Tuesday, January 12th. Please email studentsonstage22@gmail.com to submit a request.

Mandatory Parent Meetings: (for those in the cast): Wednesday, January 13th 4:00-5:00pm & Monday, April 12th 4:30-5:15

Rehearsals: Mondays & Select Fridays 2:30-4:30, Wednesdays 1:30-4:00 January 13th-April 30th

Saturday Rehearsals: February 27, 2027 & May 1st, 2027 9am-4pm No conflicts allowed for our Saturday Rehearsals. 

Tech Week: May 3rd- May 6th (extended to 6pm) No conflicts permitted during tech week. 

Show Dates: May 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th @ 7pm, May 8th & 16th @ 1pm

IMPORTANT: This is not an after school care class. Not every student will be needed at every rehearsal. We do require students to attend the rehearsals they are needed at. We have a high level of desire for our program, please only sign up if you can commit to our program 100%.

  • Student must be available for all required rehearsals

BACKSTAGE CREW FOR 

Thank you for your interest in our backstage tech crew for our Students on Stage’s production.

Requirements: 

  • You must have a parent’s permission for you to be a part of the crew in the show.
  • There is a $30 fee to participate which covers the cost of a crew t-shirt and the cast party.
  • We are looking for students to participate helping with moving sets (on wheels), changing back drops, getting props on stage, lighting, spot light, music, etc.
  • Due to the high volume of interest in our stage crew, all students will be required to participate in an interview as part of the selection process.
  • You must be available for all our Crew rehearsals and have no conflicts with our show schedule.

  • Interviews: Friday, March 5th, 2027 2:30-4:30
